Project ECHO Network in North Carolina

Supporting and facilitating community-based Project ECHOs with technical assistance and coordination resources.

Launching in 2023, PEN-NC will serve as a network for Project ECHOs across North Carolina.

Project ECHO programs are available in North Carolina, but there is uneven distribution across the state. Through coordination across regions and subject areas, PEN-NC will help resolve inefficiencies and increase equity in access to Project ECHO content and expertise.

Next Steps for PEN-NC

  • We are currently developing an assessment survey to evaluate community health needs, health care team education and training, and ECHO™ support needs. We plan to begin distribution in August, 2023.
  • In early fall 2023 we will begin to analyze and develop a summary report from the needs assessment.
  • In fall 2023 we will distribute the summary to the public.
  • Once we have gathered information from the needs assessment, we will develop a network infrastructure built to meet the current and ongoing needs of ECHO™ projects across North Carolina.

This needs assessment will be vital in the development of the member network. If you would like a voice in developing a network tailored to meet the needs of ECHO™ projects and their participants across North Carolina, make sure you fill out the form above to receive PEN-NC updates.
